The Long Jetty Urgent Care Service provides fast treatment for urgent health concerns that don’t require a hospital emergency department. It’s designed to help you get the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
What we can help with
- Minor cuts and wounds, sprains or suspected simple fractures.
- Coughs, colds, flu and mild asthma.
- Earaches, sore throats and minor eye problems.
- Minor burns, rashes, allergies and insect bites.
- Urinary tract infections and some gastrointestinal illnesses.
How to access the service
- Call healthdirect on 1800 022 222 (24/7). A registered nurse will assess your symptoms.
- If appropriate, you will be referred and booked into our Urgent Care Service.
- Language support is available via TIS National on 131 450.

Costs
Care provided through Urgent Care is at no cost for patients with a valid Medicare card (or community-based asylum seekers). healthdirect will help find the most suitable option for others.
Is it an emergency?
If symptoms are life-threatening — such as severe chest pain, breathing difficulties, severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, or suspected stroke — call Triple Zero (000) or go straight to the nearest Emergency Department.
