Our Services

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac rehabilitation can help in the recovery after heart attack or cardiac surgery and other cardiac interventions such as stents. We can assist clients with the management and understanding of their cardiac condition.

Adults and young people over the age of 16 can access our services.

We provide cardiac rehabilitation:

  • Patient education and support as inpatient or outpatient
  • Support after discharge from hospital
  • A six-week, centre-based program (two hours, twice a week), including exercise and education, provided at both Wyong and Woy Woy hospitals
  • Telephone and video call support.

Referrals

There are a number of ways that people can be referred to our services:

  • GP
  • cardiologist
  • self-referral
  • referral by the cardiac rehabilitation liaison nurse (while a patient in our hospital)
  • referral from another hospital
