Medical and nursing services are provided specifically for young people (those aged 14 to 24 years), these services include:
- comprehensive nursing and medical health assessments
- preventative primary health care including immunisation, contraception, STI testing and health screening
- advice on healthy lifestyle and behaviour choices
- health education and advice for chronic and complex health conditions
- specialist support for young people with chronic health conditions or disabilities transitioning from paediatric to adult health services
- limited primary medical care
- referrals and advice on care navigation.
Youth Health provide free condoms, free pregnancy testing and support and practical help with tasks like getting a medicare card, or accessing other Central Coast Local Health District health or community services.
Clinics are free to young people, with prescribed medication dispensed at the clinic at no cost.
