Behaviour assessment and support

Specialist clinicians support people living with dementia who are experiencing significant changes in behaviour.

Support may include:

  • Behaviour assessment
  • Strategies to minimise impact of changes in behaviour
  • Behaviour Support Plan consultation

Reviews can take place in:

  • Private homes
  • Residential aged care facilities
  • Hospital settings

How to access this service

If the person living with dementia is in hospital or in a residential care setting, a referral from a GP, specialist or health professional is required.

If the person living with dementia lives at home, family members or carers can refer directly by contacting Community Health Access & Intake (CHAI).
