Carer support groups

Monthly face‑to‑face carer support groups are available for people caring for someone living with dementia. Groups are facilitated by experienced clinicians and may include guest speakers.

Groups offer carers the opportunity to:

  • connect with others in a similar situation
  • share experiences and practical tips
  • access information and support

Group locations and schedules

Woy Woy – Peninsula Community Centre

First Monday of the month, 10am to 12pm

Erina – Community Health Centre

Second Monday of the month, 10am to 12pm

The Entrance – Community Centre 

Third Thursday of the month, 1pm to 3pm

Lake Haven – Community Health Centre

Fourth Friday of the month, 10am to 12pm

How to access this service

This service is funded through the Australian Government Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) for people aged 65 years and over (or 50 years and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people). A My Aged Care assessment is required to access these services.

No referral is required. Carers can get group details through Community Health Access & Intake (CHAI).
