TOP5 is available and appropriate for use by patients and / or carers who are deaf. This video has been developed to explain the TOP5 process and gives examples of good quality TOP5’s for people who communicate using Auslan.

Patients and their carer will be encouraged to consider TOP5 strategies and relay these to health staff who will record the information on the TOP5 strategy form.

Please ask the staff if you feel you need an Auslan interpreter to help you relay your TOP5 strategies to staff.
