We are fortunate to have a strong sense of community on the Central Coast with many willing to help us provide the best care to patients and their families. There are many ways that you can get involved and make a difference.
Fundraising and donations
Community support helps us to enhance medical and therapeutic equipment for patients in addition to items that improve patient comfort.

Consumer participation
Partnering with consumers helps us to identify opportunities to improve how, when and where we deliver care to the community, and meet growing demand. We are committed to developing strong and effective partnerships to meet the community’s health needs and welcome suggestions from the community to help us improve the care we provide.

Volunteers
Time – give as little or as much as you like. Perhaps you have a few hours once a week. Whatever you are able to give will help make a difference to patients, their families and staff.
There are lots of way volunteers help every day including behind the scenes work collating service information packs to patient based activities including our successful patient feeding and companion observer volunteer program.
There are a few things you will need to be one of our volunteers:
- Be physically and mentally capable of carrying out the duties of a volunteer
- Be able to work effectively, appropriately and safely without supervision
- Be able to read and write to a level required within the hospital environment
- Be willing to undertake a National Criminal Record check, and if working with children – a Working With Children Check.
- Be willing to attend for the designated hours, unless on recreational, sick or family leave.
