You Told Us, We Listened

At Central Coast Local Health District we are committed to consistent improvement and we are proud to work with our community to make sure our services and facilities are exceeding expectations.

See below some examples of how we have listened to and acted on your feedback.

Emergency Departments

You told us: Emergency Departments can be overwhelming. It would be good if there was someone to help us understand what’s happening.

We listened: We introduced Patient Experience Officers to assist patients and their carers who present to emergency at Gosford Hospital and Wyong Hospital

Visitors

You told us: It would be great to be able to have pets visit the hospital

We listened: We now allow pet visits to our hospitals. All requests for pet visits are considered on a case by case basis

Aboriginal Cultural Space

You told us: It is difficult to locate the designated Aboriginal cultural space at Gosford Hospital.

We listened: We installed more culturally appropriate signage that is easier to recognise.

Signage

You told us: There is no signage to identify the main entry of Gosford Hospital.

We listened: We installed a sign at the main entry of Gosford Hospital

You told us: There was no way out sign on Level 2 of the P2 carpark.

We listened: A large new “way out” sign has been added to level 2 to assist with the easy exit of the P2 carpark.
