Mental Health

Youth and Young Adults (12-25)

Youth Mental Health provides a range of clinical and non-clinical services to youth and young adults in the community and in hospital.

Services are available 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and include:

Young People & Early Psychosis Intervention (YPPI)

Provides specialist intensive case management and support for young people aged 12 to 24 years with early, or first episode psychosis.

Youth Mental Health team (YMH)

Provides intensive case management and support for young people aged 12 to 18 years with a range of mental health problems (other than psychosis).

Headspace

Headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early-intervention mental health services to 12-15 year olds. There are three Headspace locations on the Central Coast at Gosford, Wyong and Lake Haven where young people can access support.

Aboriginal Mental Health team

The Aboriginal Mental Health Team work alongside clinicians in a liaison role to provide cultural input and to support the delivery of mental health services to Aboriginal people.

Eating Disorders Service

The Eating Disorders Outpatient Service is an early-intervention service for people with eating disorders, their families and people who are at risk of developing an eating disorder.
