Clinical research in the neurology department has guided innovative treatment opportunities for patients, as well as facilitated the definitions for standard of care for acute stroke, Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA), stroke prevention and genetics, dementia, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis.
The neurology department appreciates the significance of active involvement in clinical research and clinical trials. This active involvement provides access to treatments and regimes that may not be currently included in the standard care offered by the healthcare team.
We currently have a number of active neuroscience clinical trials in the areas of acute stroke and TIA management. To find out more about neurology research or services please call 02 4320 2404.
