Women’s Health

Contact 02 4320 3741 9 am to 3 pm Monday to Thursday.

Women’s Health clinics are offered by appointment and are staffed by female nurses providing the following services:

  • Pap smears
  • Contraceptive advice
  • Postnatal checks
  • Menopause information

These services are available to women aged 18 to 70 years who require a pap smear and/or breast check, contraceptive advice and postnatal checks and are a Central Coast resident.

We encourage women in the following groups to attend our clinics:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
  • Culturally and Linguistically Diverse
  • Women with disabilities
  • Health Care Card holders
  • Women who are overdue or have never had a Pap smear

Services are free. Women requiring contraceptive pill prescriptions or devices will be referred to their GP.

Referrals

You may be referred to the Women’s Health service by your GP, a specialist doctor or Central Coast Local Health District.

You may also make a self-referral simply by contacting the service on 02 4320 3741 between 9 am and 3 pm Monday to Thursday.

If you require ongoing care and routine follow up after your appointment with our service you will be referred to your GP or appropriate specialist doctor.
