We provide individual counselling for young people to give them an opportunity to discuss some of their problems in a private environment.
Youth Health counsellors can also provide consultation with families and agencies where there is:
- General concern about the young person's behaviour, violence in schools or other places.
- Harassment and bullying in schools or other places.
- Poor school attendance.
Please note: The Youth Health Service is not a specialist mental health service and is not able to provide crisis support.
If you need assistance with serious mental health concerns contact the Mental Health Line on 1800 011 511. If you need immediate or emergency assistance, please contact triple zero (000).
Young people can access Youth Health counsellors at several community health centres.
