Aboriginal employment

We are committed to building the Aboriginal workforce and provide a range of opportunities for Aboriginal people. Aboriginal staff members work across all areas of the Local Health District. Employment opportunities, including traineeships and cadetships are available in areas such as:

We provide services in a range of settings where you can apply your skills and knowledge including the hospital setting and community-based services such as youth health, mental health, sexual health or drug and alcohol services.

Community involvement

We also strive to be actively involved in the community, participating in a range of activities to promote career and employment for Aboriginal people on the Central Coast, including careers expos, NAIDOC week activities and the successful Ngura Program.
